Role Overview

The Sales Ledger Administrator is responsible for managing customer accounts and ensuring the accurate processing of proforma invoices and payments.

This role plays a key part in maintaining financial accuracy, supporting credit control, and strengthening customer relationships, while contributing to effective financial control across the business.
Responsibilities

Sales Ledger & Invoicing
Raise and process customer proforma invoices accurately and within required timeframes

Credit Control

Liaise with customers to resolve payment or invoice queries efficiently

Allocation & Reconciliation

Reconcile customer accounts and investigate discrepancies
Ensure all receipts are posted accurately and in a timely manner
Support internal and external audits as required
Produce reports

Communication & Coordination

Work closely with internal departments to support the resolution of account issues
Maintain strong customer relationships while ensuring timely payment collection
Communicate effectively with both internal stakeholders and customers
Demonstrate strong problem-solving and organisational skills
Carry out ad hoc duties as required

Key Skills & Experience

Essential

Previous experience in a sales ledger or similar finance role
Strong attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
Good understanding of accounting principles
Ability to manage workload, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems

Desirable

Experience in a manufacturing or high-volume environment
Knowledge of accounting/ERP systems
