Full job description

Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Sign Installer to join our installation team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining sign-related systems in various projects. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in signage to develop their skills within a dynamic environment. Candidates must be committed to safety, quality workmanship, and punctuality.

Duties

Install and assemble sign systems according to technical specifications and schematics
Conduct repairs and maintenance on existing installations to ensure optimal performance
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to complete installation tasks efficiently
Collaborate with team members to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans
Assist with other construction-related tasks such as plastering, masonry, carpentry, or fabrication as required
Maintain a clean and organised work area adhering to health and safety standards
Inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes

Qualifications

Proven experience in the signage industry of 3 years +
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and specialised fabrication equipment
Knowledge of schematics, construction painting, masonry, carpentry, or plastering is advantageous
Strong understanding of safety procedures within construction environments
Ability to read technical drawings and schematics accurately
CSCS Mandatory IPAF and PASMA ideal but we can provide if not already got
Good organisational skills with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Must be located within 30 mins of Clacton

Candidates must demonstrate a strong commitment to safety standards and quality workmanship. This role provides an excellent platform for career growth within the construction industry.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £13.50-£15.50 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
