Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, individual to work in our small committee run Pre-school. The candidate must have at least a level 2 qualification in Early Years Education or above and ideally a minimum of 2 years experience working with children aged 2-4 years. The position is to cover staff absences so would need to be flexible and available at short notice. There is potential for more permanent hours to cover staff maternity. The successful candidate will require a DBS check and two references. Only candidates holding a level 2 or above position in childcare will be considered.
Responsibilities

Plan and deliver engaging educational activities tailored to the developmental needs of young children.
Support children's emotional, social, and physical development through nurturing interactions.
Maintain a safe and clean environment that complies with health and safety regulations.
Collaborate with colleagues and parents to ensure each child's individual needs are met.
Observe and assess children's progress, documenting developmental milestones.
Promote inclusive practices that respect diversity within the Pre-school
Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development sessions.
Contribute to creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere for children and families.
Qualifications
Proven experience working with young children in a nursery or early years setting.
Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
Level 2 or above in childcare
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
A caring attitude with a genuine passion for child development.
Flexibility and adaptability to meet the dynamic needs of the nursery

Pay: £12.71 per hour
