Fire & Security Engineer – Kent – £30,000-£35,000 Per Annum

Package Overview:

Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 Per Annum (Depending on experience and skill level)
Full-Time, Permanent Position
Workdays: Monday to Friday
Area Covered: Kent and London

Key Responsibilities:

Install, commission, service, maintain, and repair a wide range of fire and security systems including fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems on a variety of client sites spanning commercial buildings, residential properties, and public venues.
Conduct thorough fault diagnosis and troubleshooting to identify system malfunctions and apply effective repair solutions with minimal downtime.
Deliver ongoing technical support and expert advice to clients and end-users, ensuring their fire and security systems operate reliably and meet all regulatory standards.
Manage and work on prestigious and high-profile client sites, maintaining the highest standards of workmanship and professionalism.
Maintain detailed and accurate electronic and paper-based records of all service visits, installations, repairs, and maintenance tasks performed.
Ensure strict adherence to all health & safety legislation, industry codes of practice, and client-specific policies, contributing to a safe working environment for yourself and all stakeholders.

Skills and Experience Requirements:

Valid full UK driving licence or equivalent (Essential as you will be required to travel to multiple client sites.
Proven extensive experience working as a Fire & Security Engineer with hands-on technical knowledge in the installation, servicing, maintenance, and repair of fire alarms, intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems.
Comprehensive knowledge of fire and security system installation methods, equipment, tools, and associated wiring standards.
Good understanding of relevant British Standards (e.g., BS 5839 for fire alarms, BS 8243 for intruder alarms) and health & safety regulations.
Experience working with a diverse range of manufacturers’ equipment and systems, demonstrating versatility and adaptability.
Strong analytical and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve complex technical issues efficiently.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to interface professionally with clients, site managers, and team members.
Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering exceptional service and ensuring client satisfaction.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision, but also a dependable team player willing to collaborate when needed.
Flexibility to adapt working hours occasionally to meet client demands and project schedules.
