Forklift Truck - Technical Parts Administrator

Reports to: Service Manager
Location: Bristol

Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per anum
Contract Type: Permanent, Full Time

Hours: 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday)

We are now seeking a professional technical parts person to join our busy team. This role offers an excellent entry point for individuals looking to build a career in operations, providing hands-on experience to develop highly sought-after technical parts skills.

The Role

Joining a small, supportive team, you will step into a highly varied and rewarding position where no two days are the same. You will play a vital role in keeping our engineering operations running smoothly, making a tangible impact on daily business performance. This is a dynamic, hands-on role perfect for someone who takes pride in seeing the direct results of their hard work.

Key Responsibilities

· Parts Sourcing: Identify and source forklift components using specialized online supplier portals.

· Inventory Control: Receive, verify, and allocate daily parts deliveries to stock efficiently.

· Logistics: Manage courier dispatches and coordinate regular replenishment of engineer van stock.

· Customer Care: Deliver professional customer service via telephone and face-to-face interactions.

· Administration: Execute daily departmental administrative tasks and participate in annual stocktakes.

· Team Support: Undertake ad hoc duties to support the department as required.

Skills & Experience

Technical Awareness: Understanding of mechanical components or basic mechanical knowledge is highly advantageous.
IT Literacy: Proficient in standard computer applications and comfortable learning new software portals.
Communication: Confident telephone manner with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Organisation: Methodical, proactive approach with strong organizational skills.
Efficient: Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
Customer-Centric: Dedicated to providing high-quality service to internal and external clients.
Collaborative: A strong team player who works well with engineers and managers.
Adaptable: Flexible approach to managing changing daily priorities.

Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
