Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Kennel Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to animals in our facility, ensuring their health and well-being while maintaining a clean and safe environment. The ideal candidate will have a genuine love for animals, and a strong commitment to their wellbeing. This position requires physical stamina and the ability to handle various tasks associated to animal care. You must be able to work in a small team & alone. Some experience working with dogs would be beneficial but full training will be given.

Duties

Provide daily care for animals, including feeding, grooming, and exercising dogs.
Maintain cleanliness of kennels, play areas, and other animal housing facilities.
Monitor the health and behaviour of animals, reporting any concerns to the manager.
Participate in training sessions and team meetings to enhance skills and knowledge related to animal care.

Qualifications

Previous experience in animal care is preferred but not essential, full training will be provide.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with pet owners.
A genuine passion for animal welfare and an understanding of their needs.
Ability to work well in a team environment while also being self-motivated.
Able to work in outdoor environments .
Punctual & Reliable.
Own car essential due to location of workplace
Working hours 7:30 - 4:30 (weekdays/weekends)

Pay: £12.71 per hour
