Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking dedicated Agency Support Workers / Health Care Assistants to provide compassionate care and support to individuals in various care settings, including care homes and support environments. This role offers flexible working arrangements to suit your availability and aims to deliver high-quality assistance to those in need. Successful candidates will be committed to promoting independence, dignity, and wellbeing among service users, ensuring their comfort and safety at all times.

Duties

Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and medication reminders
Support the development and implementation of personalised care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals
Provide companionship and emotional support to service users
Maintain accurate documentation of care provided using IT systems
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to ensure seamless care delivery
Adhere to health and safety protocols, including infection control procedures
If applicable, utilise driving skills to transport clients safely to appointments or activities
Contribute to creating a positive environment that promotes independence and dignity for all clients

Qualifications

Previous experience working within a care home or home care setting is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided
Driving licence is advantageous for roles involving client transportation
Good command of English, both written and verbal, for effective communication
Basic IT skills for documentation and communication purposes
Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport with clients and team members
Compassionate attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable individuals
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
