Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Roofer to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining roofing systems on a variety of buildings. This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilise a range of specialised skills, and contribute to high-quality craftsmanship in the construction industry. Applicants should be physically fit, safety-conscious, and eager to develop their expertise in roofing and related trades.

Duties

Read and interpret schematics, technical drawings, and blueprints to determine project requirements.
Install new roofs using various materials such as tiles, shingles, metal sheets, and membranes.
Repair or replace damaged roofing components efficiently and safely.
Operate power tools, hand tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and secure roofing materials.
Perform welding and fabrication tasks as needed for customised or specialised roofing solutions.
Assist with carpentry tasks related to roof structures, including framing and support systems.
Conduct heavy lifting of materials and equipment safely across job sites.
utilise plumbing and masonry skills for integrated roofing systems where applicable.
Follow safety protocols at all times to ensure a secure working environment for oneself and colleagues.
Maintain organised work areas and ensure all tools and materials are stored correctly after use.

Qualifications

Proven experience in roofing or related construction trades such as carpentry, masonry, or plumbing is preferred.
Knowledge of schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings is advantageous.
Competence in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques.
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights on ladders or scaffolding.
Familiarity with construction safety standards and practices.
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in executing complex tasks accurately.
Physical fitness to undertake demanding manual labour in various weather conditions.
Relevant certifications or training in roofing or construction trades will be considered an asset. This position provides an engaging environment for those passionate about building craftsmanship while offering opportunities for professional growth within the construction sector.

Pay: Up to £250.00 per day
