Job description

Urban Environments is a growing and reputable water hygiene company specialising in Legionella control and compliance. We are currently looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor to join our team.

This is a mobile role covering multiple sites including residential, commercial, healthcare, and public sector buildings. You will play a key role in helping our clients maintain safe and compliant water systems.

Key responsibilities

Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments in line with ACOP L8 guidelines
Conduct water temperature monitoring (hot & cold systems)
Perform cold water storage tank inspections
Undertake water sampling for microbiological testing
Inspect hot water vessels and associated systems
Service and maintain Thermostatic Mixing Valves (TMVs)
Support chlorination and disinfection work
Accurately complete reports using our in-house digital logbook system (CAT-Si)

RequirementsEssential:

Legionella Risk Assessor / Legionella Awareness certification (or equivalent)
Strong knowledge of HSE ACOP L8 and HSG274
Minimum 3 years’ experience in Legionella risk assessing / water hygiene
Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Basic plumbing knowledge
Experience in cleaning and disinfecting water systems

Problem-solving mindset with a practical approach
