Summary
We are looking to appoint a full-time teaching assistant level 2a to our team to provide support in our Reception classes. This role is to start on the 1st September 2026 and will run to August 2027. The contract is initially on a temporary contract but may be extended, if budget allows, for 27/28. Part of this role will include covering an outdoor lunchtime slot as a play team member (30 minutes per day). The hours will be 31.18 a week, during term time, running from 8.50am to 3.30pm, Monday to Friday, with an 8.30am start on Tuesdays for TA meetings.

We are looking for someone who:
- Can build positive relationships with children and adults alike
- Has experience of working in EYFS and within the EYFS curriculum
- Has planning, organisational and IT skills.
- Has experience of supporting children who have special educational needs and making reasonable adjustments to meet their needs
- Is able to work independently and as part of a team to provide children with a safe and caring learning environment
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a strong work ethic and will have a flexible approach to the tasks they undertake. The position will be ideally suited to someone with previous experience of working within a busy school environment.

Essential Qualifications
- GCSE grade C or above in Maths and English (or equivalent)
NVQ level 2 or above qualification appropriate to the post (or equivalent)
