An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Domestic Assistant to join our warm and dedicated team at Hassingham House, a care home in Hingham, Norfolk.

About the role

As a Domestic Assistant, you'll help keep Hassingham House clean, fresh and homely, creating the kind of surroundings our residents are proud to call home. It's hands-on, varied work that makes a real and visible difference to daily life in the home.

This is a part-time role, working 18 to 24 hours a week.

Your responsibilities will include:

Cleaning surfaces and floors throughout public areas, including the use of mechanical cleaning and polishing equipment where directed
Cleaning residents' rooms, including all surfaces and floors, toilets, baths, basins, showers and sluice rooms
Dusting, vacuuming and washing down all areas, including furniture and surfaces
Cleaning windows and polishing mirrors, door fittings and furniture where applicable
Shampooing carpets and cleaning curtains and furniture
Emptying and cleaning waste bins
Maintaining the highest standards of laundry within the home

What we're looking for

The right to work in the UK (we are unable to offer visa sponsorship)
A reliable, professional approach and pride in your work
A warm, friendly manner with residents, their families and your colleagues
The ability to work as part of a team as well as on your own initiative
Some experience in a similar role is preferred, though not essential, as full training will be given
