Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Accounts Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day financial operations, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in processing financial data. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic organisation .

Responsibilities

Assist with accounts payable processes, including invoice processing and vendor payments
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using sage accounting software .
Perform data entry tasks related to accounts receivable and other financial documentation
Support month-end and year-end closing activities
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts to ensure data accuracy
Prepare reports and assist with audit preparations
Ensure compliance with organisational policies and procedures regarding financial transactions

Experience

Previous experience in an accounts assistant or similar role is required .
Familiarity with accounting software such as Sage, Xero, PeopleSoft, or QuickBooks is highly desirable
Strong data entry skills with high attention to detail
Knowledge of accounts payable processes and financial services industry standards
Ability to work efficiently within a team and independently when required
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
