Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organised Bookkeeper to join our finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring the smooth operation of our accounting processes. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in accounting software and a keen eye for detail to contribute to the financial health of our organisation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero
Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
Reconcile bank statements and ledger accounts regularly to ensure accuracy
Assist with payroll processing and employee expense reimbursements
Prepare financial reports and summaries for management review
Support year-end audit preparations by organising relevant documentation
Monitor cash flow and assist in budgeting processes as required
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial compliance and accuracy

Requirements

Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar finance role
Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, and Xero
Strong understanding of accounting principles and procedures
Experience managing accounts payable and receivable processes
Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines effectively
Good communication skills, both written and verbal
A recognised qualification in accounting or finance is desirable but not essential
