Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a sd&s skips.

We are looking for a reliable and experienced Skip Driver to join our growing team.

Requirements:

Valid HGV/LGV licence (Class 2 preferred)
CPC qualification and digital tachograph card
Experience driving skip vehicles is desirable
Good customer service skills
A strong commitment to safety and reliability

Responsibilities:

Delivering and collecting skips from customer sites
Completing daily vehicle checks
Ensuring all deliveries are carried out safely and efficiently
Maintaining excellent customer relations

The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining smooth logistics and providing outstanding guest services, contributing to the overall success of our waste management and disposal operations.

Duties

Oversee the scheduling and dispatching of skip collections, ensuring timely service delivery.
Manage customer bookings, queries, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy.
Coordinate with drivers and operational staff to optimise routes and minimise delays.
Ensure all skip containers are maintained in good condition and comply with safety standards.
Monitor inventory levels of skips and organise replenishments as necessary.
Maintain accurate records of all transactions, service requests, and operational activities.
Assist in training new staff members on company procedures and customer service protocols.
Uphold health and safety regulations at all times during operations.

Skills

Proven management experience within a logistics or waste management environment.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a focus on guest services.
Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining attention to detail.
Customer-focused attitude with a professional approach to guest interactions.
Proficiency in basic computer applications for record keeping and scheduling purposes.
Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules or operational needs.
