Overview
Yard Operative

Location: Norfolk Gravel, Sheringham
Hours: 45 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 7:00am – 4:30pm
Salary: From £31,000 per annum (higher salary available depending on experience, qualifications, and plant tickets)

Norfolk Gravel is looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Operative to join our team at our Sheringham site.

This is a hands-on role working within a close-knit team, with the main focus being the operation of our bagging plant and loading customer and company vehicles.

Key Responsibilities

Operating and assisting with the day-to-day running of the bagging plant.
Loading lorries and other vehicles safely and efficiently.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and tidy working environment.
Assisting with general yard duties as required.
Following all site health and safety procedures.

Requirements

Forklift licence preferred, but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.
Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively within a close-knit team.
Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Previous experience in a yard, quarry, aggregates, construction, or similar environment would be advantageous.

Training & Development

Following a successful probation period, candidates who do not already hold the relevant qualifications will be supported in working towards obtaining:

Shovel ticket
Dumper ticket

Competitive salary from £31,000 per year, with higher rates available depending on experience, qualifications, and plant tickets.
Full-time, permanent position.
