Full job description

Are you an experienced Health Care Assistant looking to make a real difference in patient care? Aurora Medcare GP Practice is seeking a confident and capable HCA to join our friendly and dedicated team.

Important: This is a full-time position working across all four of our sites. Candidates must be able to commit to full-time hours and travel between sites as required.

About the Role

As a Health Care Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting our clinical team across a wide range of duties, including:

Hypertension monitoring
Immunisations and injections including flu, pneumonia, shingles and B12 (under Patient Specific Direction)
NHS Health Checks
Diabetic foot checks
Weight management support
Pre-diabetic lifestyle advice
Wound care
Cold chain management
Stock control

Essential Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

Previous experience working as a Health Care Assistant in General Practice is essential, with relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 or 3, or equivalent experience demonstrated
Be competent in carrying out clinical observations and patient care independently
Be confident working in a busy GP setting
Be able to work full time and work across multiple sites
Have strong communication skills with patients and colleagues

Desirable (but not essential)

Experience in immunisations and injections
Full UK driving licence

Pay: £24,500.00-£28,000.00 per year

Work Location: In person
