Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Packer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in our warehouse operations, ensuring that products are accurately packed and prepared for shipment. This position requires a strong focus on quality control and the ability to handle materials efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Accurately pack products according to specifications and quality standards.
Perform quality control checks to ensure that all items meet company requirements before packing.
Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment safely and efficiently.
Assist with shipping and receiving tasks, including loading and unloading lorries.
Maintain an organised workspace, ensuring all packing materials are readily available.
Utilise the warehouse management system for tracking inventory and orders.
Handle heavy lifting as required, ensuring proper techniques are used to prevent injury.
Collaborate with team members to optimise packing processes and improve efficiency.

Requirements

Previous experience in a warehouse or packing environment is preferred.
Familiarity with forklift operation is advantageous; certification is a plus.
Strong mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot minor equipment issues as they arise.
Experience with quality control processes and materials handling.
Ability to lift heavy items (up to 25 kg) consistently throughout the shift.
Proficiency in using warehouse management systems for inventory tracking is desirable.
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
A positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
