We are looking to grow our Arb team due to further growth within the business. If you are an experienced arborist then this might be of interest.

BGG Garden and Tree Care Ltd, established in 1999, is a family-owned and -operated business that has expanded to more than 40 local employees. We provide a comprehensive suite of services—including commercial and residential grounds maintenance, highway verge cutting, arboriculture, tree surgery, and site clearances—delivered with precision and care.

Our diverse client portfolio encompasses county and parish councils, schools, and a wide range of commercial and private enterprises. Committed to exceptional quality, safety, and sustainability, BGG tailors every project to meet the unique requirements of each client.

As we continue to grow as a business, we are looking to recruit experienced arborist/team leader.

Arborist/Team Leader

The Role

As an Arborist, you’ll work as part of a skilled and professional team delivering a wide range of tree care and arboricultural services. You’ll be responsible for maintaining trees safely and efficiently, ensuring all work meets industry standards while adhering to strict Health & Safety procedures.

Key responsibilities include:

Tree pruning, reductions, dismantling, and felling operations
Safe use of chainsaws, climbing equipment, rigging systems, and MEWPs
Undertaking aerial tree work and ground-based support
Site clearance, chipping, stump grinding, and debris removal
Identifying tree health issues and reporting findings to supervisors
Working efficiently with colleagues to complete jobs on time and to specification

Applicants will need to have the following, although further training will be provided:

- Industry climbing experience in previous roles.

- Proven team Leader Experience, with the ability to organise, motivate and run a crew. (Team Leader roles only)

- Industry qualifications (CS30/31/38/39/41 or equivalent), NPTC, First Aid plus EFA+F, Chapter 8 etc.

- Driving licence

- Strong teamwork, communication, and timekeeping skills
