Full job description

About the Role

The Racing Bug is looking for a practical, reliable and hands-on Arcade & Games Maintenance Technician to support our London venues on an ad hoc basis.

This is a flexible role, ideal for someone with experience repairing arcade equipment, amusement machines, electrical equipment or similar mechanical/electrical systems.

You'll help keep our games operating to a high standard by carrying out fault finding, repairs, preventative maintenance and occasional equipment installations.

Duties Include

Fault finding and repairing arcade machines.
RC Raceway maintenance and repairs.
Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
Replacing parts and testing equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults.
Liaising with our Operations Manager regarding repairs.
Keeping simple maintenance records.

We'd Love to Hear From You If You Have Experience In

Arcade or amusement machine maintenance.
Electrical or electronic repairs.
Mechanical engineering.
Vending machines.
Gaming equipment.
Bowling centres.
Entertainment venues.
Electromechanical equipment.

Qualified electricians or engineers with an interest in arcade equipment are also encouraged to apply.

We're Looking For Someone Who Is

Practical and enjoys problem solving.
Reliable and organised.
Comfortable working independently.
Flexible with availability.
Holds a full UK driving licence (preferred but not essential).

Hours

This is an ad hoc / flexible position.

Some weeks may have no work, while others may involve multiple call-outs depending on operational requirements.

Perfect for someone looking for additional income alongside another role or semi-retirement.
