Baker (Part-Time or Full-Time)

Hours:

Shift Start: Approximately 11:00 AM until 21:00 PM (sometimes later)
Days: Weekends essential (Friday–Sunday for Part-Time, or Wednesday–Sunday for Full-Time) working week can also be negotiable.

About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Baker to join our team here at Real Patisserie in Southwick.

You will handle the core baking production from late morning into the afternoon. This role requires independence, as you will often work alone on the ovens in the bakery, however, strong communication skills are essential to coordinate smoothly with our packing and delivery teams.

Key Responsibilities

Weigh and mix doughs accurately according to established recipes and methods.
Divide and hand-mould dough with precision.
Operate common bakery machinery, including mixers and moulders.
Manage the proving process to ensure optimal dough development.
Bake products to high standards using deck and rack ovens.
Maintain strict food safety and hygiene standards in line with our company policy.

Requirements

Experience: Essential. Professional commercial bakery experience is required.
Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in using deck ovens and managing the proving process of mainly French style speciality breads.
Equipment Knowledge: Confident operating commercial mixers, moulders, and deck and rack ovens.
Work Style: Comfortable working independently and managing your own workflow.
Communication: Clear and positive communication skills to connect with packers and drivers.

What We Offer

Flexible contract options (Part-time 3 days or Full-time 5 days).
Competitive pay based on experience. (Negotiable for the right candidate)
