Job Overview

We are seeking experienced and reliable Carpenters specialising in roofing, joisting, and general improvement work to join our construction team. This role involves working on diverse projects, including new builds, renovations, and repairs, requiring a strong understanding of carpentry techniques and related trades. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality craftsmanship while adhering to safety standards and project deadlines. This position offers an excellent opportunity for skilled tradespeople to contribute to varied construction projects within a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

Construct, install, and repair roofing structures, joists, and frameworks using a variety of hand tools and power tools
Fabricate and assemble timber components according to specifications
Perform heavy lifting tasks safely to handle materials and structural elements
Assist with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, and electrical work as required to support project completion
Ensure all carpentry work complies with safety regulations and building codes
Collaborate with team members to plan and execute construction activities efficiently
Maintain a clean and organised worksite to promote safety and productivity
Interpret technical drawings, plans, and specifications accurately for precise execution of tasks

Qualifications

Proven experience in carpentry, roofing, joisting, or related construction trades
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and joinery techniques
Knowledge of fabrication and assembly processes within the construction industry
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
Familiarity with construction painting, masonry, plumbing, electrical systems is advantageous
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Relevant certifications or qualifications in carpentry or building trades are preferred but not essential

Pay: £150.00-£260.00 per day
