Full job description

Role: Warehouse Operative (Night Shift)

Salary: £26,436.80 per annum + Night shift allowances of £15 per working evening

Working Hours: Monday – Friday; 10:00pm – 7:00am. Overtime if required. You will have a total of 1-hour break; 2 x 30-minute breaks unpaid.

We are a busy fast-growing poultry manufacturing company that requires Warehouse Operatives to join the Dispatch night team. We require someone who is reliable, hardworking, has excellent communications skills, good attention to detail and has a general understanding of Food Safety.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Picking orders (fresh & frozen).
Loading vehicles.
Assisting with stock control & stock taking.
General warehouse duties, to include loading stock onto pallets/racking (in freezers & cold stores), ensuring pallets are disposed of correctly and general housekeeping to ensure the warehouse is always kept clean & tidy.
You will be required to work in cold conditions to complete daily duties.
You may be assigned additional responsibilities in line with business requirements as directed by your line manager.

Requirements:

Must be computer literate.
Must have good levels of numeracy & literacy.
Must have the ability to lift and complete manual handling activities.
Experience working in a busy warehouse environment.
Excellent attention to detail & time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure, organise and prioritise responsibilities.
Forklift truck licence is desirable but not essential.
