Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Dispenser to join our healthcare team. This role involves accurately dispensing medications, providing excellent patient care, and supporting pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will have prior pharmacy technician experience and a strong commitment to patient safety and confidentiality. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about healthcare and medication management to contribute meaningfully to patient wellbeing.

Duties

Dispense prescribed medications accurately in accordance with prescriptions and pharmacy protocols
Assist pharmacists in preparing and organising medication orders for patients
Provide guidance and information to patients regarding medication usage and potential side effects
Maintain precise records of dispensed medications and inventory levels
Support medication administration processes within the pharmacy setting
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, including proper storage of medicines
Assist with patient care activities as directed by the pharmacist, including answering queries and providing support during consultations
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the dispensary area to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements

Prior experience as a pharmacy technician or dispenser is essential
Knowledge of medication administration procedures and patient care practices
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in handling prescriptions and records
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare professionals
Ability to work accurately under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to regulatory standards
Relevant qualifications or certifications in pharmacy assistance or related fields are desirable
