Full job description

Receptionist

£26,437 per annum plus benefits and gratuities, OTE approx 30K per annum, full time role

Based Bowness – accommodation provided if required

Storrs Hall is a spectacular Grade II listed Georgian Mansion Hotel, with a beautiful location and stunning grounds, on the shores of Lake Windermere. With a focus on a warm family ethos and exemplary service, we have a busy reception and a superb working environment. Providing opportunities for training and progression, we are looking for a personable individual who wants to build a rewarding career with long term prospects. Hours are shift based (no splits) and a mix of early, mid and late shifts. No nights.

Main Responsibilities as Receptionist

Managing a busy switchboard
Providing the first point of contact for customers, meeting and greeting
Checking in and out, handling all guest requests
Showing Guests round the hotel and to their rooms
Handling all reservations
Supporting the Events team with weddings, proposals and functions
Taking payments
Handling general administrative tasks
Working closely with the food & beverage team

Skills and Qualifications

Strong customer service experience - front of house / Reception experience would be an advantage but not essential
Great communication skills
Highly organised and IT literate
Good administrative skills
Well presented, personable and courteous
