Full job description

We are looking for an experienced Pizza Chef to join our team at The Bear, Deansgate!

About us

The Bear is an exciting new independent pub on the corner of Deansgate and Peter Street in the heart of Manchester city centre. Set in a 150-year-old listed building, the premises has been completely refurbished to create an authentic public house set over two floors with traditional Victorian style bar on the ground floor and dance hall in the basement. The business will be operated by a friendly, hardworking and experienced team, offering staff plenty of opportunity for training and advancement.

About the role:

The successful candidate will be required to:

Prepare high-quality pizza following established recipes and standards.
Ensure all food safety and hygiene regulations are strictly followed.
Assist in menu development and ingredient selection.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pizza section.
Collaborate with team members to deliver excellent dining experiences.
Manage multiple orders efficiently during busy periods.
Contribute to a positive, team-oriented work environment.

Who we’re looking for:

Proven experience as a Pizza Chef or in a similar culinary role for a minimum of 2 years preferred.
Strong knowledge of food safety standards.
Excellent cooking skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently under pressure.
Good communication skills and team spirit.
Previous experience in a restaurant setting is a must.
Passion for creating delicious dishes and delivering great customer service.
