Overview
Michael Thomas Commercial Projects specialises in commercial refurbishments and interior fit-outs across the UK.

We undertake a wide variety of projects including:

Care home refurbishments
Assisted living developments
Shop fitting and trade counter installations
Office refurbishments
Reception desks and bespoke joinery
Commercial kitchens and furniture installations
Flooring and interior fit-outs

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a hardworking Trainee Joiner / Interior Fit-Out Installer to join our team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone in their final year of college, recently qualified, or looking to build a long-term career within the construction and fit-out industry.

Responsibilities

You will work alongside experienced tradesmen on projects throughout the UK, learning a wide range of practical skills including:

Commercial joinery installation
Fire door installation and maintenance
Flooring installation
Shop fitting and trade counter fit-outs
Care home refurbishment projects
Furniture assembly and installation
Basic site maintenance and finishing works
Loading and unloading materials
Maintaining a clean and organised site

Requirements

Essential:

Full UK Driving Licence
Basic joinery or construction experience
Good work ethic and positive attitude
Reliable and punctual
Willing to travel and work away from home when required
Able to work as part of a team
Physically fit and comfortable with manual work

Desirable:

Studying or recently completed a Carpentry & Joinery qualification
Previous site experience

Starting salary £24,000 - £28,000 depending on experience
