Housekeeping - The Fleet Care Home

Contract: Full Time

Salary: £14.04 Per Hour

Shift Type: Days

Contracted hours: 40

Our care home, nestled in the picturesque town of Dartmouth in Devon, provides exceptional Residential, Nursing, Dementia, and Respite care for up to 79 residents, offering a serene and supportive environment where quality care meets coastal charm.

Head Housekeeper Contract

£14.04 per hour
Contracted to 40 hours per week
Paid DBS, pension, uniform provided
5.6 weeks annual leave (based on a full time contract)

Role Overview
As Head Housekeeper, you will take overall responsibility for the cleanliness, presentation and organisation of the home, ensuring a safe, comfortable and welcoming environment is maintained at all times. This is a key leadership role where your standards and attention to detail will directly impact daily life and overall experience.

You will lead and manage the housekeeping team, overseeing the cleaning of residents’ rooms, bathrooms and all communal areas to ensure consistently high standards of hygiene and presentation. You will coordinate daily operations, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and in line with infection control, health and safety and housekeeping procedures.

Working closely with other departments, you will ensure a well organised and responsive service. You will monitor quality, manage supplies and support your team through training, guidance and leadership, creating a positive and high performing environment. The successful candidate will be required to work alternate weekends.

What We Are Looking For

Previous experience in a housekeeping or supervisory role
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent organisation and attention to detail
Good understanding of cleaning standards, hygiene and infection control
Ability to manage workload, priorities and team performance
Good communication and interpersonal skills
