Full job description

Johnson’s Leisure Ltd are looking for a reliable and hardworking Yard Man / Yard Operative to join our team at our Challock yard.

Key Responsibilities

Maintaining a clean, tidy and organised yard
Loading and unloading stock safely and efficiently
Operating forklifts and other yard equipment
Assisting with stock control and stock takes
Moving and organising materials within the yard
Supporting deliveries and collections
Using small tools and equipment safely when required
Locking up and securing the yard at the end of the working day
Ensuring health and safety standards are followed at all times
Communicating effectively with team members and customers

Requirements

Valid forklift licence essential
Previous forklift operating experience
Experience working in a yard environment
Experience using small tools and equipment
Stock take / stock control experience preferred
Trustworthy and reliable with a strong work ethic
Good communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Strong attention to tidiness and organisation
Full UK Drivers licence essential and own transport

Hours

Full-time position
Monday to Friday
Occasional Saturday work may be required
Flexibility to support opening and locking up the yard when needed

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking someone dependable, punctual and proactive who takes pride in keeping the yard organised, secure and running efficiently. The successful candidate must be trustworthy and capable of responsibly locking up and securing the premises at the end of the day.

Pay: £13.50 per hour
