Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Grill Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality grilled dishes in a fast-paced restaurant environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong background in food preparation and culinary arts to showcase their skills and contribute to delivering exceptional dining experiences. The successful applicant will be committed to maintaining food safety standards and delivering outstanding service to our customers.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to established recipes and standards
Ensure all food is cooked to the correct temperature and presentation standards
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station, adhering to food safety regulations
Assist in meal preparation, including marinating, seasoning, and portioning ingredients
Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and notify management of shortages or stock needs
Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure timely service and customer satisfaction
Follow health and safety guidelines at all times, maintaining a safe working environment
Contribute ideas for menu development and special promotions related to grilled dishes

Requirements

Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working with grills or open flame cooking preferred
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
Experience in serving customers or working in a customer-facing role is advantageous
A passion for culinary arts and a keen eye for detail

Pay: £12.21-£13.50 per hour
