Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Practice Nurse, where your expertise in patient care and clinical skills will make a meaningful difference in the lives of patients. In this vital role, you will deliver comprehensive nursing services within a busy practice environment, supporting both patients and healthcare professionals. Your proactive approach and dedication will help ensure smooth clinic operations, promote health education, and provide compassionate care to diverse patient populations. The successful candidate will be confident and professional, be able to interact positively with our patients to provide a consistently high level of care.

Duties

Provide high-quality patient care through assessments, health education, and support during consultations
Administer medications accurately following established protocols and safety standards
Assist with minor procedures, vaccinations, and wound care to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Monitor patient vital signs and update medical records with precision and confidentiality
Educate patients on health management, medication use, and lifestyle modifications to promote wellness
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care plans and follow-up appointments
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment adhering to infection control guidelines

Experience

Proven experience in a clinical or practice nursing setting with a focus on patient-centered care
Strong knowledge of human anatomy and physiology to support accurate assessments and interventions
Skilled in medication administration, including injections, oral medications, and topical treatments
Excellent communication skills to engage effectively with patients of all ages and backgrounds
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
Knowledge of healthcare regulations, confidentiality standards, and best practices in clinical documentation

Qualifications Essential

Registered Nurse (Adult) with current NMC registration
Evidence of ongoing professional development

Desirable

Additional qualifications in chronic disease management (e.g. diabetes, asthma, COPD)
Cervical cytology training
Child immunisations training
Phlebotomy
Contraception counselling qualification
