Support Worker – Serenity Inmind LimitedOverview

Serenity Inmind Limited is seeking compassionate, committed, and motivated Support Workers to join our growing team. We provide high-quality, person-centred support to adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism Spectrum Conditions, Complex Mental Health Needs, Physical Disabilities, Acquired Brain Injuries, Behaviours that Challenge, and Forensic Histories across our Residential, Supported Living, Domiciliary Care, and Social Inclusion services.

As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live fulfilling, meaningful, and independent lives while promoting dignity, choice, inclusion, and positive risk-taking. You will work closely with each individual, their families, healthcare professionals, and the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality support tailored to their assessed needs.

This role requires individuals who are caring, resilient, flexible, and committed to delivering outstanding care in accordance with CQC Fundamental Standards, the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014, the Mental Capacity Act 2005, the Care Act 2014, and Serenity Inmind Limited's policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in accordance with individual Care Plans, Risk Assessments, Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) Plans, and other relevant documentation.
Support individuals with personal care, nutrition, hydration, medication, mobility, and daily living activities where required.
Promote independence by encouraging individuals to develop and maintain life skills, social skills, communication, and community participation.
Support individuals to access education, employment, volunteering, leisure activities, appointments, holidays, and social opportunities.
Build positive and professional relationships that promote trust while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries at all times.
Implement Positive Behaviour Support strategies and proactive interventions to reduce behaviours of concern and improve quality of life.
Respond appropriately to incidents, emergencies, safeguarding concerns, and health-related issues in accordance with company policies and statutory guidance.
Administer medication safely in line with company policy, NICE guidance, and current legislation, ensuring accurate recording on Medication Administration Records (MAR).
Complete accurate, objective, and timely documentation including daily records, incident reports, body maps, behaviour charts, financial records, communication books, and electronic care records.
Work collaboratively with families, advocates, healthcare professionals, social workers, commissioners, and other multidisciplinary professionals to achieve positive outcomes.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with GDPR and Data Protection legislation.
Promote equality, diversity, inclusion, dignity, respect, and human rights in all aspects of service delivery.
Support individuals in making informed choices while promoting positive risk management and safeguarding.
Participate in staff meetings, supervisions, appraisals, mandatory training, and continuous professional development.
Maintain a safe, clean, and homely environment while ensuring all health and safety procedures are followed.
Report maintenance issues, accidents, incidents, safeguarding concerns, and changes in individuals' needs promptly in accordance with company procedures.
Drive service users and company vehicles where authorised and appropriate.

Good written and verbal English skills with accurate record-keeping ability.

Good organisational and time-management skills.
Flexible approach to working shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins, and waking nights where required.
Basic IT skills for electronic care records and online training.
Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Desirable Experience

Previous experience supporting adults with Learning Disabilities, Autism, Mental Health Needs, Behaviours that Challenge, Acquired Brain Injury, or Physical Disabilities.
Experience implementing Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) strategies.
Experience administering medication.
Knowledge of safeguarding adults, Mental Capacity Act 2005, Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards (DoLS), and the Care Act 2014.
Full UK driving licence (desirable for some services).
