Job Overview

Join our dynamic culinary team as a Kitchen Porter, where your energy and enthusiasm will help keep our kitchen running smoothly and efficiently. In this vital role, you will support the culinary staff by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring all kitchen areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety. Your proactive approach will contribute to a seamless dining experience for our guests, fostering a welcoming and professional environment. Responsibilities

Clean and sanitise kitchen utensils, equipment, work surfaces, and floors to uphold health and safety standards
Assist with basic food preparation tasks under the supervision of chefs or kitchen managers
Ensure all dishes, cookware, and tools are properly stored and organized for efficient workflow
Support the delivery of excellent hospitality by helping with serving duties when required
Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, storage rooms, and communal spaces to promote a hygienic environment
Follow health and safety protocols diligently to prevent accidents and ensure compliance with regulations
Help with waste disposal and recycling processes to support sustainable practices within the kitchen

Qualifications

Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential; enthusiasm and willingness to learn are key
Basic knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen safety procedures
Strong attention to detail with a proactive attitude towards cleanliness and organization
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of hygiene
Excellent teamwork skills with a friendly approach to supporting colleagues and serving guests
Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and perform manual tasks as needed
