This is an exciting time for three full-time Advice and Information Response Officers to join our team within North Tyneside Council.

This could be the role for you if you have relevant experience managing fast paced incoming telephone calls, have an enquiring mind with excellent customer service skills.

Applicants are invited to apply for the above permanent full-time vacancy within the Gateway First Contact Team (working days Monday - Friday; 8:30 - 17:00)

The Advice and Information Response Officers (AIRO) act as the first point of contact for anyone wanting to access Adult and Childrens Social Care in North Tyneside, responding to contacts made by various channels including telephone, e-mail and web portal from the general public as well as professionals from other organisations.

The successful candidate:

The role involves offering advice, information and support around universal services as well as taking referrals when appropriate.

You should be confident in being able to unpick complex issues and be able to confidently communicate with all service user groups covered.

Some knowledge of Adult and/or Childrens Care Legislation would be beneficial.

Please note this role will be predominantly office based at our base at Quadrant offices.
