WHO WE ARE

We're Curtis Toyota, a family-run dealership in Ballymena that's been part of Northern Ireland's motoring scene for over 40 years. We're not a big corporate group with targets handed down from head office. We're a tight-knit team, we know each other's names, and we do things properly.

Our workshop is modern, busy, and fully equipped with Toyota's latest diagnostic and hybrid systems. We're Toyota-only, so you're not bouncing between brands and bodge jobs. You'll know what you're working on, you'll have the right tools to do it, and you'll have the support to do it right.

THE MONEY

Up to £40,000 depending on your experience and what you can do. We're not going to waste each other's time, if you're genuinely skilled and take pride in your work, we'll pay you properly for it.

THE ROLE

We need a skilled Vehicle Technician to join the workshop team here in Ballymena. Day-to-day you'll be carrying out servicing, diagnostics, MOT prep, and repairs on Toyota vehicles. Hybrid and EV work is part of the job, we'll make sure you're trained and certified if you're not already.

WHAT A TYPICAL DAY LOOKS LIKE

8:25 - You arrive, grab a coffee, and the team catches up. It's a proper team, not a bunch of people who just happen to work in the same building.

8:30 - Morning job allocations. You know what you've got, you know what's in the bays, and you get on with it.

9:00 - You're into a hybrid diagnostic on a Corolla. You've got the Toyota Techstream kit, the job card's clear, and no one's breathing down your neck.

10:30 - Routine service on a Yaris Cross. Quick, clean, done right.

13:00 - Lunch. There's banter. You won't eat your sandwich alone in a corner.

13:30 - Brake replacement on a RAV4. Straightforward. Proper Dura cabinet, proper tools, no scrabbling around for what you need.

15:30 - Customer video health check and road test. We do these properly because we actually care about the customer coming back.

17:00 - Tools away. You go home. No staying until 7pm because someone forgot to order a part.

That's the job. Monday to Friday, 8:30-5:00. No weekends. No daft hours!

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

You'll be a great fit if:

- You're Level 3 qualified (City & Guilds, NVQ, or equivalent)

- You take pride in accurate, clean workmanship - not just getting cars out the door

- You're reliable and organised - you look after your bay, your tools, and your jobs

- You've got experience with diagnostics (hybrid a bonus, not essential - we'll train you)

- You've got a full UK driving licence

You won't be a great fit if you're chasing numbers at the expense of quality, or if you're looking for somewhere you can coast. We care about doing things right.
