We are seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our team, providing essential assistance and guidance to vulnerable adults and young people. The ideal candidate will have a passion for mentoring, working with people, ensuring a positive and supportive environment. Responsibilities
- Offer personalised support to both adult vulnerable and young people, fostering their development and confidence
- Assist with daily activities, including educational tasks, recreational activities, and behavioural support
- Assist people to appointments and shopping trips
- Support people in their homes and take them on their daily activities
- Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and external professionals to ensure consistent care and support plans
- Maintain accurate records of support provided and progress made
- Promote a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment at all times
Qualifications
- Experience in mentoring or working with adults/children is highly desirable
- Knowledge of support methods suitable for adults/ young people
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic approach to supporting all individuals
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Relevant qualifications in support service care or social care are advantageous but not essential
- Commitment to safeguarding principles and organisational policies
