Job Overview

Join our dynamic team as a Kitchen Assistant, fancy learning more than how to work a fryer? We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant to join our team, someone who is keen to learn, enjoys food and wants to develop proper kitchen skills. This isn't just about frying chips! You will have the chance to learn food prep and kitchen basics.

Responsibilities

Assist with food preparation
Maintain cleanliness of kitchen surfaces, utensils, and equipment in accordance with food safety standards
Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients and following recipes accurately
Ensure proper storage of ingredients and leftovers to prevent contamination and waste
Help serve to customers in a courteous and efficient manner
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to uphold a safe working environment
Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods

Qualifications

Previous experience in catering, cooking, or restaurant environments is preferred but not mandatory
Basic knowledge of food preparation, meal assembly, and kitchen safety practices
Strong interest in cooking and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
Good communication skills and a positive attitude towards teamwork
Familiarity with food safety standards and proper hygiene procedures is advantageous
Prior experience with serving or assisting in food service roles is a plus
