Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and passionate Chef to join our Kitchen Production team. The ideal candidate will have culinary experience in a similar role, and a dedication to delivering exceptional food quality. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring compliance with food safety standards. The Chef will play a vital role in inspiring the kitchen team to achieve excellence. The role predominately relates to the cooking of sauces, and cooking meat & poultry, and ensuring meals are produced to a high standard.

Responsibilities

Ensure high standards of food preparation and presentation
Oversee daily kitchen operations, including New Product Development, managing inventory, and maintaining cleanliness;
Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with recipes and quality standards
Ensure all food safety regulations are adhered to, including proper handling, storage, and sanitation practices
Manage staff schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise team performance
Monitor food costs and minimise waste through efficient utilisation of ingredients
Maintain a positive and professional working environment that encourages teamwork and continuous improvement

Skills

Experience in food production, cooking, and food preparation techniques are essential;
Strong team management skills with the ability to motivate and lead staff effectively
In-depth knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hospitality settings
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
Exceptional culinary skills across a variety of cuisines and styles
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with team members and management
Leadership qualities that inspire confidence and foster a collaborative work atmosphere

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
