Full job description

Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Treatment Room Nurse to join our GP Surgery team . This is a long-term temporary role, initially working full days Mondays and Fridays, with the opportunity for the position to develop into a permanent role with increased hours for the right candidate.

The successful candidate will play an important part in delivering high quality nursing care within a busy primary care setting, supporting patients across a range of treatment room services.

Key Responsibilities

Deliver treatment room services including phlebotomy, BPs, wound care, dressings, ECGs, injections, anti-coagulation monitoring, childhood immunisations and vaccinations
Carry out routine nursing procedures and health checks
Perform cervical screening (if qualified)
Maintain accurate clinical records in line with practice policies and professional standards
Work collaboratively with GPs, nursing team and the wider multidisciplinary team

Essential Requirements

Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration
Competent in treatment room procedures and clinical assessment
Strong communication and organisational skills
Ability to work independently while contributing positively to the team

Desirable Requirements

Previous experience working within General Practice / Primary Care or a treatment room setting
Immunisation and vaccination training
Cervical cytology qualification
Knowledge of GP clinical systems
