Full job description

Situated in picturesque Thrybergh Park, spanning over a hundred acres, Thrybergh Hall has been welcoming guests for over 200 years. The main entrance to the Grade II listed property is found down a half mile stretch of private tree lined driveway. It's hard to believe that you are in such close proximity of the four metropolitan boroughs of South Yorkshire making it the perfect place for a wide variety of events and private functions within the grounds of Rotherham Golf Club.

Main Duties

Events

Liaise with customers to determine their exact event requirements.
Produce detailed proposals for events (including timelines, legal obligations, staffing, and budgets).
Manage and coordinate the running of events.
Liaise with the General Manager and marketing teams to publicise and promote the event.
Oversee the dismantling and removal of the event and efficiently clear the venue.
Research opportunities for new customers and events.
Produce a Profit and Loss statement for each event to assist with budgeting and improvement recommendations.
Promote previous events by sharing photos, reviews, and quotes from guests.
Obtain pre-orders for applicable events, working with the Bar Manager and Catering Manager on an appropriate system.
Organise monthly staff events, including the Christmas party.

Weddings

Promote the wedding venue through local channels, such as networking events.
Maintain all licences required for the golf club.
Meet and greet wedding partners, arrange the day, and ensure everything runs to plan.

Staffing/Front of House

Organise staff for events, ensuring the best service is provided to every guest while coordinating with the Bar Manager.
Deliver training for the front-of-house team using the front-of-house training book.
Maintain clear communication with the housekeeping team regarding table linen requirements for each event.
