Internal Sales Advisor

Turn Every Enquiry into a New Customer

AvantiGas is looking for a driven Internal Sales Advisor to join our busy Internal Sales & Support team in Staveley, Chesterfield, converting new leads into long-term domestic LPG customers over the phone and by email.

We are looking for someone who thrives on the challenge of a fast-paced, target-driven sales environment; someone who can build rapport quickly, negotiate confidently, and keep a pipeline of leads moving from first enquiry through to a signed agreement.

The Opportunity

As Internal Sales Advisor, you will be at the heart of AvantiGas's growth strategy, following up on new leads by phone and email and guiding prospective customers through the benefits of a domestic LPG supply agreement.

Reporting to the Internal Sales & Support Manager and working within our wider matrix organisation, you will manage your own pipeline of leads, working to agreed targets across volume and revenue growth, lead conversion, and re-contracting our existing portfolio.

This is more than a sell-on-price role — it's about understanding what AvantiGas offers as a business and using that, alongside strong negotiation skills, to win and retain customers.

What You Will Be Doing

Communicate effectively with potential new customers, following up on every lead to achieve a high conversion rate.
Demonstrate excellent selling technique, talking prospective customers through the benefits of a supply agreement.
Achieve agreed targets, including volume and revenue growth, lead conversion, and re-contracting the existing portfolio.
Manage price and offers within a pre-determined matrix, keeping every deal within set targets.
Hit sales targets in line with wider business goals.
Support the ongoing automation of sales processes to improve the customer experience.
Provide an excellent customer experience at every stage, in line with our processes.

Strong negotiation and selling skills, with a proven ability to convert leads into new business.
Confident managing quotes and pricing to stay profitable and competitive within the marketplace.
Excellent time management, with ownership of the customer contact from first enquiry through to close.

Personal:

An excellent communicator who can sell on the strength of our service, not just on price.
Confident engaging with customers, with the ability to relay competitor offers and market intelligence clearly to internal stakeholders.
Comfortable working to targets in a fast-paced, matrix-organisation environment.
