About the Role

Muthu Clumber Park Hotel & Spa is looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to support the day-to-day operation of the Housekeeping Department.

The successful candidate will assist in supervising the housekeeping team, ensuring guest bedrooms and public areas are maintained to a consistently high standard of cleanliness, presentation and hygiene.

This is a hands-on role and would suit someone who has previous housekeeping experience within a hotel environment and is confident supporting and motivating a team.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and support the housekeeping team during daily operations.
Allocate rooms and duties to housekeeping team members and monitor completion.
Inspect guest bedrooms, bathrooms and public areas to ensure required cleanliness and presentation standards are achieved.
Ensure rooms are prepared and released within required timescales.
Assist with daily housekeeping briefings and communicate operational priorities to the team.
Work closely with Reception and other departments regarding room status, guest requests and operational requirements.
Support the training and induction of new housekeeping team members.
Monitor housekeeping productivity and ensure work is completed efficiently.
Ensure cleaning procedures, hygiene standards and health and safety requirements are followed at all times.
Monitor housekeeping supplies, linen and cleaning materials and report stock requirements where necessary.
Report maintenance issues, damages or faults identified within guest bedrooms or public areas.
Handle guest requests and concerns professionally and promptly.
Support the Housekeeping Manager/Hotel Management with rotas, attendance and departmental organisation where required.
Ensure company policies and procedures are followed consistently.
Carry out housekeeping duties when required to support the operational needs of the hotel.

About You

The ideal candidate will have:

Previous experience within a hotel housekeeping department.
Previous supervisory or team leader experience is preferred.
A strong understanding of hotel cleanliness and presentation standards.
Good organisational and time-management skills.
The ability to supervise, motivate and support a team.
Excellent attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
A professional and positive approach to guest service.
The ability to work effectively in a busy hotel environment.
Flexibility to work different shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
The ability to work independently and as part of a wider hotel team.
