Job Summary

We are seeking a vigilant and dedicated Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and assets. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring security systems, conducting patrols, and ensuring a safe environment for all. This role offers an opportunity to work within a professional setting, providing essential security services that uphold the safety and integrity of our organisation. The ideal candidate will possess strong observational skills, integrity, and a commitment to maintaining a secure environment.

Duties

Monitor surveillance cameras (CCTV) to detect suspicious activities or security breaches.
Conduct regular patrols of the premises to identify potential security risks or hazards.
Implement loss prevention strategies by observing and deterring theft or unauthorised access.
Respond promptly to alarms or incidents, including medical emergencies, utilising first aid procedures when necessary.
Maintain detailed logs of daily activities, incidents, and security breaches.
Enforce access control procedures by checking identification and authorisation of personnel and visitors.
Collaborate with local law enforcement or emergency services when required.
Ensure all security equipment is functioning correctly and report any faults or damages promptly.

Requirements

Proven experience in surveillance, loss prevention, or security roles is preferred.
Knowledge of CCTV systems and monitoring procedures.
Valid first aid certification is highly desirable.
Strong observational skills with keen attention to detail.
Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure in emergency situations.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Physical fitness to perform patrols and stand for extended periods.
A responsible attitude with high levels of integrity and confidentiality.
Flexibility to work various shifts as required, including nights or weekends if necessary.

Pay: £12.21-£15.00 per hour
