Full job description

We are looking for a passionate, child-focused and motivated Registered Manager to lead a new solo children’s home in Waltham Cross, Hertfordshire.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Deputy Manager ready to step up, or an existing Registered Manager seeking a rewarding opportunity to shape and develop a high-quality therapeutic home for one young person with emotional and behavioural needs.

The home is designed to provide a safe, nurturing and stable environment where children can thrive, build positive relationships and achieve meaningful outcomes.

Main Responsibilities

Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the home
Ensure the home operates in full compliance with Ofsted regulations and Children’s Homes Regulations 2015
Promote outstanding safeguarding practices and child-centred care
Develop and support a positive staff culture
Manage care planning, risk assessments and placement matching
Work closely with professionals, families and local authorities
Drive high standards and continuous improvement across the service
Support the home through Ofsted registration and inspection processes

Requirements

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or working towards)
Experience working within children’s residential care
Strong safeguarding knowledge and understanding of trauma-informed practice
Leadership or senior experience within a residential setting
Ability to lead a solo placement service confidently and independently
Full UK driving licence preferred
