The Gas Safety Shop, Basingstoke

Customer Service Advisor

Part-Time Hours: 9:00am to 2pm / £13.00 per hour

Monday to Friday - Working during school term time only (e.g. you will not be working in the school holidays)

We are looking for a Customer Service Advisor ‘a safe pair of hands you could say’ to join our friendly small team, based in Basingstoke. As our Customer Service Advisor, you will play a key role within our business. Your primary role will be to manage customer enquiries ensuring customers feel valued, that their business is retained and are provided with exceptional customer service.

We will help you with the skills you need by providing full training on our systems and processes so you can confidently answer queries on a range of products. It's a great opportunity to work collaboratively with colleagues so effective communication and flexibility is key.

About the role…

This ‘hands on’ role will encompass a little bit of everything, but to give you a flavour here is a brief overview:

· Acting as a point of contact for incoming customer enquiries as appropriate

· Providing a high level of consistent customer service either via the phone or by email at all times

· Manage a busy inbox ensuring all queries are followed up in a timely manner

· Helping ‘first time user’ customers place orders smoothly and efficiently

· Making outbound calls to customers

· Providing full support with customer orders ensuring all administration and fulfilment tasks are completed

· Actively promote products and offers for all incoming customer enquiries

· Manage internal systems to control personalisation of several product lines

· Checking in goods received

· Picking, packing and distributing orders

About you…

· Minimum 1-year previous customer service experience required

· Positive proactive approach

· Excellent communication, interpersonal and telephone skills

· Able to run with things with little or no supervision

· Fast learner with strong numeracy and literacy skills

· Able to multitask with excellent time management and organisational skills

· Confident using Microsoft office packages

· Motivated with a keen eye for detail

· Ability to see things through and use own initiative

· Can work effectively as part of a team
