Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a Part Time experienced and motivated Transport Manager to oversee our logistics operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing transportation activities, ensuring timely delivery of goods, Delivery drivers, hiring new staff, planning routes, vehicle maintenance and maintaining high standards of customer service. This role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a solid understanding of supply chain management. This role starts at 7:30am-12:30pm. Mon-Fri only.

Duties

Manage and coordinate all transportation activities to ensure efficient delivery of products.
Develop and implement logistics strategies to optimise supply chain processes.
Oversee the scheduling and routing of vehicles to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.
Maintain compliance with relevant transport regulations and safety standards.
Monitor vehicle maintenance and ensure all drivers adhere to company policies.
Provide exceptional customer service by addressing client inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
Collaborate with other departments to align transportation goals with overall business objectives.
Prepare reports on transportation performance metrics for management review.
Utilise Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and other IT tools for effective communication and documentation.
MUST HAVE A FULL ENGLISH DRIVERS LICENSE

Qualifications

Proven experience in transport management or a related field.
Strong knowledge of logistics and supply chain principles.
Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) with strong computer literacy.
Exceptional organisational skills with a keen attention to detail.
Effective communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
A valid driving licence is essential.
