Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Community Outreach Worker to engage with local communities and promote health and social initiatives. The successful candidate will play a vital role in fostering relationships, organising events, and delivering educational programmes. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about making a positive impact within diverse populations and developing their skills in project management, leadership, and community engagement for our company “United for change”.

Duties

Develop and implement outreach strategies to connect with community members and organisations
Organise and participate in community events, workshops, and health campaigns
Manage social media platforms to promote programmes and increase community awareness
Collaborate with local organisations, schools, and healthcare providers to facilitate programme delivery
Supervise volunteers and interns, providing guidance and support in their roles
Conduct needs assessments to identify community priorities and tailor outreach activities accordingly
Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, participant engagement, and programme outcomes
Assist with fundraising efforts by developing proposals and engaging potential donors
Provide educational sessions on public health topics, ensuring accessibility for diverse audiences
Perform administrative tasks related to programme coordination and reporting

Skills

Supervising experience with the ability to lead teams effectively
Strong project management skills to plan, execute, and evaluate outreach initiatives
Leadership qualities with the ability to motivate others and foster teamwork
Experience in marketing and social media management to enhance programme visibility
Fundraising expertise to support programme sustainability through grant writing and donor engagement
Administrative experience for maintaining records, scheduling, and reporting duties
Knowledge of public health principles relevant to community wellbeing programmes
Teaching abilities to communicate complex information clearly and engagingly
Excellent organisational skills with attention to detail
Effective communication skills across diverse populations

Pay: £300.00-£1,500.00 per week
