Operations & Supply Chain Manager

We’re looking for a highly organised, commercially minded Operations Manager to help drive the next stage of growth in our fast-paced food business.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives on improving systems, solving problems, managing supply chains, and making operations run smoothly at scale.

You’ll oversee day-to-day operations across supply chain, logistics, stock management, supplier coordination, fulfilment, and process improvement — ensuring we deliver exceptional service while maintaining efficiency and profitability.

This role is officed based, initially split between Bedale and York – some travel to suppliers may be required.

The Role

You’ll be responsible for:

Managing day-to-day business operations
Overseeing supply chain and stock management
Managing supplier relationships and performance
Improving operational systems and processes
Coordinating logistics and fulfilment
Reducing waste and improving efficiency
Supporting growth and scalability across the business
Working cross-functionally with sales, finance, warehouse, and production teams

We’re Looking For Someone Who:

Has experience in food manufacturing, FMCG, foodservice, or retail supply
Understands supply chain and operational management
Is highly organised and detail-oriented
Can take ownership and drive accountability
Has strong commercial awareness
Is calm under pressure and solutions-focused
Enjoys building systems and improving performance
Wants to make a genuine impact in a growing business

Desirable Experience

BRC / HACCP knowledge
ERP or stock management systems
Logistics and warehouse coordination
Continuous improvement / Lean operations
Major Retailer supply chain experience
