Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are safe, attractive, and well-kept. Your efforts will directly contribute to creating welcoming environments for visitors, staff, and the community. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about gardening, horticulture, and outdoor maintenance to develop their skills in a supportive and engaging setting.

Responsibilities

Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, pruning, planting, and weed control to keep outdoor areas vibrant and healthy
Operate various power tools such as hedge trimmers, lawnmowers, and leaf blowers efficiently and safely.
Support seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal, or soil preparation to keep grounds accessible and safe year-round

Requirements

Proven experience in landscape maintenance, gardening, or horticulture, preferred but not essential.
Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate power tools and small machinery safely, preferred but not essential
Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to grounds upkeep
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining safety standards
Excellent teamwork skills combined with the ability to work independently when required
Relevant NPTC certification, i.e PA1 &PA6
