Full job description

Green Energy Fuel Limited is seeking a reliable and experienced Machine Operative to join our growing team.

This is an excellent opportunity to work within a fast-paced operation where safety, efficiency, and teamwork are at the heart of everything we do.

The Role

As a Machine Operative, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of plant machinery, ensuring materials are handled correctly while maintaining high operational and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Operating a loading shovel safely and efficiently.
Loading, moving, and handling materials across the site.
Carrying out daily equipment checks and reporting any defects.
Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment.
Working closely with colleagues to ensure production targets are met.
Following all company health, safety, and environmental procedures.
Assisting with general site operations as required.

Essential Requirements

Valid Loading Shovel experience (essential).
Strong understanding of health and safety within an operational environment.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Reliable, hardworking, and self-motivated.
Good communication skills.

Desirable Skills

Telehandler experience and certification.
Forklift Truck (FLT) experience and certification.
Previous experience working within recycling, waste management, aggregates, biomass, or similar industrial environments.

Working Hours

4 on, 4 off shift pattern
Shift details to be discussed during the interview process.

Holiday

20 days annual leave
