Job Summary
The Pharmacy Dispenser plays a crucial role in the healthcare system, ensuring that patients receive their medications accurately and efficiently. This position involves working closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of medication administration.

Duties

Accurately dispense medications as per prescriptions from healthcare providers.
Assist in the preparation and packaging of medications for distribution.
Maintain accurate records of medication dispensation and inventory management.
Provide support to pharmacists in patient consultations regarding medication usage and side effects.
Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements related to pharmacy operations.
Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimise patient care outcomes.

Skills

Proven experience as a Pharmacy Technician or in a similar role within a pharmacy setting.
Strong knowledge of medication administration processes and pharmaceutical terminology.
Excellent patient care skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and their families.
High level of attention to detail, ensuring accuracy in all aspects of medication dispensing.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
Strong organisational skills, with the capability to maintain orderly records and inventory systems.
